Our Procedures to Keep You Safe During the COVID-19 Pandemic
As we continue to return to normalcy during these trying times, we have created a plan in order to keep everyone safe and healthy as we begin to minister to you again. We ask that you please read the plan below before joining us for the year.
All of our meeting and events meetings will be held in the Shrine Basement Hall in order to prevent the spread of germs inside of the school. The Hall will be cleaned and disinfected before and after all meetings by following CDC guidelines. Before the meeting, the youth team will wipe down the chairs, tables and equipment used for the meeting. After the meeting, St. Anthony's maintenance staff will clean all areas: tables, chairs, door knobs, light switches, sinks, counters and other touch areas. An EPA approved disinfectant will be applied.
Before entry into the Hall, a temperature check will be given followed by a questionnaire. If you have a temperature of 100.4 Fahrenheit or you answer yes to the questions in the questionnaire, you will not be able to participate in youth ministry for the day. If all is clear, please enter through the front side entrance of the Shrine Church. We will be keeping an electronic log of who entered the building. This log will be password protected. This entrance will be clearly marked with signs "Youth Ministry Enter Only".
A mask must be worn upon entry. When entering the Hall, there will be hand sanitizer available to disinfect your hands. We will have chairs placed with proper social distancing and there will be painter's tape on the floor to help us to socially distance while moving around.
If someone gets ill during a meeting, the person will be moved to the Guardian angel area and a parent will be called to pick up the teen. Kailyn, one of our team members, is a medical professional and will stay with the teen with a safe distance with protective gear. This space will be partitioned out and will be toward the exit side of the Hall. The teen will be asked to get medical clearance before returning and asked to be tested if Covid-19 is suspected.
Prior to starting up youth ministry for the year, Kailyn will be educating the rest of the team on Covid-19 symptoms and protocols. We will keep the team updated from the CDC by email.
At the end of all meetings, we will exit through the back door by the Parish Church entrance. This door will be clearly marked "Youth Ministry Exit Only". We will remind everyone to keep the social distancing when exiting the building.
Hello All! We look forward to seeing everyone again and growing closer together in our relationship with Christ and one another!
